The First Gold single

Posted: 2010-02-01

After a hectic year, including finishing his much celebrated debut album, ”Never Half Stepping,” J-Son has landed in his role as both an artist and songwriter. In January he was awarded his very first Gold Single for the track, Sky's The Limit.

Though J-Son started his career, rapping, but quickly tested the waters by singing and writing lyrics. Last year he put a couple of hooks on tracks for some of the largest hip hop stars in the world. He also made a fast move into the song-writing echelon by writing Hybrid Dream, a chart topper for the Japanese group, W-inds. His biggest accomplishment so far on the Swedish scene, is writing the lyrics for Sky's The Limits for Ola Svensson, (a girl's favorite) of Swedish Idol 2005. It has sold more than 10,000 copies and in April the single, framed and plated in gold, was delivered to Same Blood Entertainment's office in Stockholm. It is the beginning of a collection J-Son is determined to grow as his career as a songwriter and artist unfolds.

"Some times you feel that you have a great text but that it just doesn't fit your style. Still, there are words, a flow, something that you can't stop thinking about and is too good not to be written. Then I'm happy to share", J-Son says.
